ABOUT PAUL BARSBY - Child and Family Portrait Photographer - Tunbridge Wells, Kent

I have been professionally photographing people naturally for over 40 years now.  But my wife Beverley will tell you that from the age of 17 years, I never went anywhere without a camera in my hand.  We are a family run business and have been based in Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells for over 32 years and must have undertaken in excess of 26,000 portrait commissions in that time.  We thoroughly enjoy the vibrant mix of people we meet on a daily basis. 

We have had great success with the Baby of the Month competition since we joined in 2017.  We were thrilled when our clients Charlotte & Will Wood's baby George, was announced as the Baby of the Year for 2018, winning £5,000.  We never tire of babies in the Studio, as they are all so different.  We have brought up three children ourselves, but never cease to be amazed at how no two children or families are ever the same.  Just when I think I know everything, a very small child will tell me differently! 

We have the only replica Spitfire and flight suits in the country!  A really fun session for ages 10 months and up that can't be found anywhere else, so totally unique!

I have won many awards for both my portraiture and wedding photography from all the leading film manufacturers including Fuji, Kodak and Agfa.  I was the first male UK photographer to achieve the Newborn Qualification from the Master Photographers Association.
