Newborn Photography - Bump 2 Baby -Tunbridge Wells, Kent

I was the first male photographer within the Master Photographers Association to have been certified in newborn photography. This meant I had to meet stringent health and safety criteria, produce a working profile and demonstrate that we are trained in the art of newborn photography.  I am extremely proud of this certificate!  Whether you choose to book with me or another photographer, please make sure whoever you book with are qualified to have your precious baby in their Studio.

Photographing newborns is just the most amazing experience! We are totally at the disposal of the newborn baby and the session will run exactly how they want it to. We allow upto an hour and a half so that there is time for feeds, cuddles and nappy changes. Most importantly a newborn session should be done preferably within the first 10 days and no later than 14 days.  We have the Studio nice and toasty warm, so recommend wearing layers so you don't get too hot!

Being a father of three grown up children, it never ceases to amaze me how tiny they all start off!

There has been a great deal of reporting in the press on the safety of newborn sessions.  As a qualified photographer with 30 years experience, I believe that newborn photography should be natural.  I am not a fan of posing babies in unnatural positions, that even if carried out under proper supervision, can still cause damage to very young babies.  We do not produce composite images of newborn babies (ie two photos merged together) as I believe most parents would prefer an image of their newborn baby in a natural pose they can do all by themselves.  So if you are looking for high quality natural newborn photography, my Studio maybe for you.  Please call to discuss the type of newborn photography you are looking for.
